Waves of Doppler is a solo Techno project of Taiwanese contemporary composer Hsu Chia-Wei. Having performed with Phase Fatale, Mike Servito, Ulf Eriksson in Taiwan’s famous club Korner and Smoke Machine’s Spectrum Formosus, Waves of Doppler is known for his brutal drum percussion arrangement and layered sound design. It released the first album, “Nonagon” in 2017, and the second album, ‘Brutalist’ was released in late August 2018. In addition to the live performance, Waves of Doppler also collaborated with ex Cloud-Gate choreographer Yuju Lin for the choreography “Sponges”. It premiered in Taiwan’s National Performing Arts Centre and later toured in Paris and Valenciennes, France. Aside from performing, Hsu Chia-Wei co-owns a cyberpunk-techno party label, KLUTCH TAIPEI.
