Following his degree completion at Kingston University in the UK (Majoring in Music Technology & Business Music) Samkwan joined the EMI Music Team in Bangkok (Thailand) and assisted in marketing, and took a step forward to join the Motion Picture Associated (MPA) as a Deputy Director in Thailand. In 2009 as a General Manager Samkwan cultivates a number of Thailand’s top stars including Musketeers, 25 Hours, and Singto Numchok under the name of ‘Believe Records’. Following his success, in 2014 he took a step further to form ‘What the Duck’ Records. Within a short period, Samkwan proved his ability in spotting and cultivating talent as he introduced the Thai music industry with a number of talented young artists. These include a new rising star ‘The Toys’ , as well as opening up international opportunities for Singto Numchok to make his stand. As a Managing Director of What the Duck Company Limited, Samkwan is proved to be adept in cultivating various artists as the label has been the gaining of international recognition and began touring internationally. These include international releases of Singto Numchok in Tokyo and his participation at the Busan Rock Music Festival in Seoul. Moreover, Samkwan help to pave way for his newly signed ‘The Toys’ for making his mark with a recently release hitting number one chart in Bangkok and immediately gained public attention. Currently in 2018, Samkwan has taken a further step in being a music promoter to create the first music festival under What The Duck label, “Jam Fest.” The event received a satisfied outcomes by being talked by the media and fans. The tickets were sold for over 1000 within one day. Such a feedback has led What The Duck to be more exposed in the media field which leads to more music festivals that will be planned and executed in the future.
